Didn't get # 9 in the OEM gasket set, looks like it would fit.
#8 in the package does not fit, diameter too large.
Did a general Google search for "dipstick tube 0 ring" and
found rings but not for the m30 b34 block.
There's no o ring groove on the bottom of my tube.
As a matter of fact, no m30 was listed.
If I can't get a part # can a guru tell me the o ring size.
Or, do you think one of the listed rings would work for the m30--
Or, if I measure the ID of the block and OD from
the tube how thick of a generic o ring should I try to get.
Posting on Bimmerforum also.
Thanks for all & any info.

Re: Need part # for this o-ring
It seems to me that it isn't supposed to have an o-ring there. Was one in place when you removed it? The fact that RealOEM shows the o-ring in grey typically indicates it is not used for that model car and since your dipstick tube doesn't have a groove for the o-ring, I'd bet that one isn't required.
I've run into the same issues with my Shark.

Re: Need part # for this o-ring
I failed to mention that the engine builder removed the dip stick tube.
I should ask him if he remembers what he removed.
I guess I jumped the gun on posting and asking before speaking to him.
So if that's what the grayed out in REALOEM means,
I'm confused because I do have #8.
thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for all the input.
Talked to the builder and told me press fit.
