Howdy! I just picked up a grey market 1978 633csi with a getrag 260. Will a getrag 265 work with this engine?

You actually need a 265 as that is the only 5 speed with provision for a mechanical speedo drive. The 260 does not have a speedo drive so likely the car has a non functional speedometer.

The 5 speed is in a 82 body that I want to swap the HC m30b32 into.. It does line up perfect TY!!
