I am looking for help with an NLA Thermo Time switch, mine has died.
I have the switch and I think it could be revived if I could find the correct electronics.
My car is a 1982 633 CSiA (build date 12/81) an e12 based version, which I am finding has a number of odd parts that are very hard to find.
This switch is the version that has 2 prongs (not the vacuum hose attachments), this part tells the ECU to open the CSV (cold start valve) if the temperature is below 45CEL (45 degrees Celcius or aprox 110 degrees F)

Re: Thermo Time switch
Contact Bluntech in Canada. They are great on older parts . They bring a lot of stuff in from Europe. The E12 guys love them. I am not sure where in Canada they are but are highly regarded.

Here's an article on a similar issue with bimetallic thermo timers (item #9 on your RealOEM doc) being NLA regarding Volvo ES with the D-Jet version of injection. There may be some cross referencing possible here. http://winkler.io/life-savers-for-owner ... -jetronic/

Re: Thermo Time switch
IIRC the part for early motronic is similar to ones fitted to later motronic; the difference lies in the time and temperature rating. If you fit the wrong rating of thermotime switch it is only a problem if
a) the temperature is between the two ratings and/or
b) the car cranks but doesn't start for some reasons.
Remember the thermotime switch ONLY allows the CSI to fire during cranking.
IME if everything is in good shape )no leaks in the fuel lines!) the car ought to start first crank and if it does, the exact rating of the thermotime switch is irrelevant.
If push comes to shove you can fit a momentary action switch in parallel with a failed thermotime switch and have a 'manual choke' as it were.
cheers
