No Speedometer

Post by new kid »

I can not figure out why I do not have a speedometer. I found this diagram online and I have power at fuse 10, Power on C1 pin 7, C2 pins 10 and 19 ohm good to the rear diff. The speed sensor is swapped with a known good one. I put in a known good speedometer and it still does not work. I do not know what I am missing.

Perhaps the batteries in the SI board are dead or defective. Recall that I had similar problems with a non functioning tachometer and the S.I. board batteries were dead. Once they were replaced everything was normal.

Got it working. The signal wire had a cut in it and it would ohm but did not make good enough connection for the speedo. ](*,)

The Speedo on my '86 just took a nap, so this will really help.
