Hey guys
My 86’ 635 (build date 4/86) recently went into LIMP MODE loosing all forward gears, the car would only move in REVERSE.
I ended up swapping the tranny with a recently rebuilt 4HP-22. Replaced the bearing and cable as well.....
Now after the swap, the car is still in LIMP MODE.
Is there something I need to reset? Any other possible culprits? I have been reading a faulty TCM could possibly be a culprit?
Any my fellow shark brethren have any insight into my situation?

*update*
Since the trans originally came from a 1988 535i, I Looked and was able to source a transmission control unit from an old ‘88 535i....
Once I received it, I swapped it out with my original unit and PRESTO, that did the job.
Car is running and shifting smoothly now after the swap.
Mods - can lock this up!
