auto to 5sp conversion

finally getting close on conversion from auto to 5sp on '81 633csi, pedal box done,everything underneath done except driveshaft, so next will be back on interior, steering column re install, center console, shifter/ shift plate etc. Question is what will I need to do wiring to make sure I have spark, reverse back up wiring, etc, from the Auto Shifter plug conector, etc. Is there a write up already on this subject,,,,

The video provided by the OP details the wires to jumper together in the auto shift plug. Easy to follow and do.

The Back-Up Light wiring is also easy. Under the dash on the left side where all the wiring is located, find the 3-wire plug coming from the shift console loom. That plug will have to be removed and the 2-wire connector from the transmission switch plugs in. The third wire is just for the light in the auto selector . See pic provided. You will have to move several of the connectors and relays that are mounted in the area as they block visibility and exposure of the connectors you need to find

thank you for info, going to be great help. Also looking for instrument cluster for manual trans car, only need the upper black out panel strip that has the letters indicating which gear in for an automatic (P,N,D,1,2, or L) OEM strip is NLA ( 62111360543) or guess I will take auto panel out, make new blank one, or black it out or,,,suggestions
