What are these connectors for

Post by Theantony »

Hi all.
Hour you’re all well and safe.

Just taken out my cluster to change my si board. They didn’t seem to come from it but does anyone know what these lose connectors are, if needed?

Thanks in advance
Antony

Could at least one of them be to do with cruise control?

All I remember from when I retro-fitted cruise control in my car ( very long time ago) is that there was some pre-wiring behind the dash that the control module and stalk assembly plugged in to.

The white connector will be lighting of some kind. Can't quite make out the other wire on the white connector. If it is grey red then that white plug is lights. Things like all the dash lights, cigar lighter light, visor light, light switch lights, fog light switch lights, hazard switch lights, OBC lights, instrument cluster lights, radio lights. So many lights !

The black connector tell us what the wire colour is.

The other one is green. But I can’t see where yo connect them. Nothing seems to be obvious or a reachable connection.

The black plug with green wire will be an ignition switch start/run feed. This goes to numerous things like fuse box (for power distribution), OBC, charging system indicator, ABS system, and power windows. If everything mentioned is working on the car I wouldn't be too worried about the plugs.

Thanks. I’ve put cluster back m, couldn’t find any possible place to connect them, and all seems ok. I don’t think they were connected anyway.
