I think I may be missing part of the filtering material in my '87 S-38 hydraulic boost pump reservoir.
In this RealOEM diagram, I have everything except filter #17. Is this intended to sit on top of #10/#11 or does it replace them?

Mine didn't have #17 either. Installed in the diagram order without # 17.
I think it's #17 or #11 not both.

Re: PSP filter 32-41-1-136-300 question.
From my experience it is 17 or 10, there is a filter like number 11 in both setups.

Thanks folks.
One further question, how much pressure should it take to push the spring down to the lower notch, to get the clip on? It almost seems my spring is too long because I'm struggling, even using a forked tool to push it down.

Re: PSP filter 32-41-1-136-300 question.
IIRC it takes a LOT of pressure, I almost gave up but finally got it fitted.
You may want to insert a small magnetic in the screen and/or filter area to collect the finest metals.

Success! Yes, a larger tool and more force, gently applied, allowed it to click into place.rhanley 635csi89 wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 12:19 pm IIRC it takes a LOT of pressure, I almost gave up but finally got it fitted.
