I neglected to comment on the intake air measurement. As long as all the engine gets no unmetered air it should run. Pull your dipstick while running and you will see the affect of unmetered air.

Just to let you guys know, I figured out the problem. One of previous owners or mechanics installed cheap POS Italian distributor cap. Fantastic idea, really. :evil: ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) Even though visually it was looking good obviously it was malfunctioning. No surprise I guess. Basically someone’s cheapness cost me quite a lot of money and frustration. I’ve replaced it for Bremi together with the rotor and now my E24 runs like a charm. I love it again :-)

What happens when you jiggle the key in the ignition while running? Those switches do go bad Start at the beginning
81 Euro 635 M90 with motronic. Currently under a complete nut and bolt restoration. Pictures at
