Harness 635csi L-jet ECU question
Is it the same pinout (harness) for ECU 0 280 001 114 ( Euro 635 CSI L-jet) and 0 280 001 008 (633CSI), i.e., is it possible to run M90 with 0 280 001 114 using the 633 csi harness?

Re: Harness 635csi L-jet ECU question
If I am not mistaken, 008 is a Motronic ECU and won't be compatible with an Ljet injection harness(system)

You are correct, I meant 0 280 001 103 L-jet 633 csi.bpoliakoff wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 2:12 am If I am not mistaken, 008 is a Motronic ECU and won't be compatible with an Ljet injection harness(system)

Re: Harness 635csi L-jet ECU question
I am reasonably sure that ECU is for a 528 with Ljet. So I am not sure it has enough "beans" for an M90

Re: Harness 635csi L-jet ECU question
Seems you are trying to accomplish my future plans. I have an 81 528i. E12 car That I placed a euro 10:1 motor in. Plan is to use M90 controls with the existing OEM harness as the M90 setup is similar to the euro 10:1.
Good luck and please provide updates on your progress

Re: Harness 635csi L-jet ECU question
Correct, problem is that I tried a spare M90 ecu on my 633csi and it did not start, could be that the ECU is malfanctioning or that this combo is not possible. My other 635 csi 1980 is still without engine so not possible to check yet if the ECU is indeed shot.Ralph in Socal wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 5:36 pm Seems you are trying to accomplish my future plans. Re: Harness 635csi L-jet ECU question
You probably need the matching afm (280 203 002) and injectors (probably not critical to run but M90 injectors are rated much higher volume). Usually a matched set is necessary. Some ECUs are interchangeable within a system (ie. 011 and 008 ecu run 016 afm; 059 and 061 ecu both run 027 afm)

Ralph 002 ECU is for Motronic 1.0 dirty euro M90. 011 is for Motronic 1.1 dirty euro motor. Not sure about 008 but know it is for some form of early Motronic but has a chippable Eprom socket where as 002 doesn't

Same AFM in my 633csi (002) and same injectors ln 633csi 1977 as M90 78-81.Ralph in Socal wrote: ↑Wed Sep 02, 2020 4:55 am You probably need the matching afm (280 203 002) and injectors (probably not critical to run but M90 injectors are rated much higher volume).
