High Idle
Ever Since I have added a bored out Throttle Body my 6er has been Idling high ,between 1300 and 1500 RPMs at Idle. Can I adjust it down somehow? But it runs just fine and better with the Bored out TB then the OEM TB.

Re: High Idle
Did you adjust the throttle stop and cable?? I have one on my M90 with Motronic 1.0 and it idles perfect at 8 or 900rpm and thats with a 284 cam as well

Re: High Idle
Likely due to how you re-connected your throttle position switch to the new throttle body and how you adjusted the throttle stop and cable. Your throttle position switch should make a very slight 'click' sound when you go from no throttle to throttle on and should make the same click when going from throttle on to zero. You can hear it if the engine is off and you're moving the throttle position under the hood and keep your ear near the throttle position switch.
If you're not hearing the click, ever, it's likely the car is never really going into true idle (never passing control off to the ICV).
I'm guessing the other way to test this would be that if your car is 'idling' and you disconnect the ICV power, it should go into 'hunt' mode where the idle goes up and down. If it doesn't then then that would mean that the car isn't actually in idle mode at all. If it does, then it's in idle mode and you're just idling really high.
If your ICV is engaging properly and your TPS is adjusted properly then a high idle can be a result of vacuum leaks if you forgot to attach a vacuum hose or something.

Re: High Idle
If temp contro switch is bad it will give a bad reading at the ECU and it will think the engine is cold or partly cold. I am having this problem now because of a short in the loom. The resistance at the pin is telling my ECU I am at 0 degrees and it won't idle under 2K Unplugged at the sensor it idles perfect. I will leave it disconnected for now as I am still debugging all of the mechanical restoration work. Once done `and if all else is good I will either open the harness, UGH,or look for another. Problem is I have Motronic 1.0 which is a 1 year production and finding a harness is like a needle in a haystack. If it doesn't run as expected I will convert to 1.3

Re: High Idle
I have cleaned the ICV,The TPS seems like if it would go more in the diriation that slows the idle down . It would work fine ,I dont know how to test the TCS I will look on youtube.Maybe will buy another one and try it. It seems like the Butterfly in the Throttle body is not maited right and is letting more air in then it is supposed to .The slack in the Idle adjustment is very loose .

Re: High Idle
Did the guy who did the machine work machine bevels on the edge of the flap? It won't mate proper if he didn't. Any Motronic TPS should work

Re: High Idle
Then he is probably the same guy that I got mine from. Stick a feeler gauge under there and see what it's doing.
