Feedback from those using a Miller MAF.

Post by Rick Eickhoff »

Looking for feedback on those using the Miller MAF.

Would like to get ride of the barn door air flow meter.

What are the "Pros" and "Cons" - is it worth the investment? Any thoughts on the Stock Miller Chip vs the Miller WAR Chip?

I have heard Miller is a little difficult to deal with. There are some good YouTube videos out there.

I have the M30B35 with an a Big Bore Throttle Body - SuperSprint Headers - DME is the 179 with DySilva chip.

Thanks

Rick

Some people have used them early days with some success but there is zero support and a little hit or miss. I personally would not recommend using one

From what I have seen and read previously, you need to cut some wires to use the Miller MAF. I don't really love the idea of cutting wires and making that kind of change in order to use an aftermarket item. Years from now I imagine it being a bit more difficult to diagnose problems if that kind of change has been made, and a bit more difficult to troubleshoot if you've introduced some additional variables that would be difficult to isolate and that most people wouldn't have or be discussing

I've been on the fence as well to be honest.

Reconditioned AFM + conforti chip would cost more than the Miller MAF. So now I'm maybe leaning in that direction (towards Miller). But I already have injectors on their way too, so I'm also thinking I might finish one upgrade at time instead of trying to decide everything all at once.

I needed a stand alone ecu for my engine build so my Miller MAF, 059 refurbished ecu with
the miller non WAR 28 pin chip is for sale.

For the whole package I'd like to get $400 shipped.

I bought the kit from VAC with the MAF and WAR chip for my M88. No complaints and feel like it's a little easier to live with than the barn door.
