Miller MAF Chip Issues

Post by Neveragain55 »

Hi Gang,

So I bought a Miller high performance MAF for my 89 and I ordered the 28 pin chip.

Gave the car to the garage I use to install everything as I just don't have the time these days to turn any wrenches.

Turns out I have the 059 ECU and not the 179 which every microfiche and website in the world said that my car has, that's why I selected the 28 pin chip. (yes I should have accessed the ECU to double check the code number but I didn't, lesson learned)

So I ordered the 24 to 28 adapter pin that Miller sells, paid almost $80,00 bucks for 2 day shipping, and of course over ten days later I still don't have the part.

I've called Miller several times and wrote several emails and still no responses (complete BS and I super pissed about it)

On to the question, I desperately need to get this part or something similar to my garage so they can finish the car. (it's taking up space, and it's in their way at this point).

I've already called Pelican & Turner Motorsports and those guys don't sell anything similar to what I need.

This is what I bought from Miller that I still don't have......

If any of you guys know of anybody out there that also sells this part, or something similar I'd be extremely appreciative.

As always thanks in advance.......

Do you have an electronics supply house near you? They may have the adapter.

I guess I could do a quick search and make some phone calls, good idea....

I'll give that a shot and hopefully I'll get lucky where's I can just walk into a place and walk out with what I need...

Thanks....

Did you mean it has a 150 ECU instead of a 179?
How can a 059 ECU be installed in such a late 635...unless of course it is not an 89?
I'm not an expert on the earlier cars, so there may be a simple explanation for it.

I also question an 059 in a 88 that should have a M30B35 motor.

If you have an 059, I have one with the Miller 28 pin installed that I'm trying to sell with
my Miller MAF.

If your in a jam, I can send it to you and we'll work out things later.

Also, Programma did a service in it for preventive measures.

I'll PM you also.
