Injectors

Post by ron »

Can anyone tell me how to get the injector harness off? Does it just pull off from the injector plugs? I'm trying to get the casting off that the thermostat housing bolts to and #1 injector fouls it so I can't pull the housing off.Help gratefully received.

There is a U shaped clip retaining the connectors >>&g

Hey Ron,

Check out the attached link for AMP connectors. The second item down shows you how the U shaped clip looks, the part that retains the connectors in place. Use a very thin screwdriver or similar device to pry these clips off.

Good luck, they're buggers!

Thanks for that Bob.Managed to sort the problem. After releasing the plugs on #1 and #2 injectors the cable loom lifted high enough to turn #1 injector slightly and the casting slid off the engine.A clean-up of the casting and hoses, new gasket and all is going back together.I just hope nothing leaks!!!!
