Hey everyone! I was helping someone on another forum work through problems installing an older BMW E24 Repair Manual program on their modern computer. In the process, I was provided with an image of the disk. I thought many of you here could use it, so I want to share. Click on the link below to download the .iso file.

Once you burn the file to a CD you can install the program on Windows 98 or Windows XP. I didn't test, but I am quite confident it will also run on Windows 2000.
For anyone who has Windows 7 or 8, you will need to create a virtual machine to run the CD.
I have Windows 8, so I installed Hyper V Client and loaded Windows XP from an old install CD I have in my archive of computer "stuff". You can lookup installing Hyper V in the link below.

The important thing is to remember that must FIRST enable virtualized environments in your BIOS. After that, the actual install/config. of Hyper V is really easy.
If you have Windows 7, then you need to install Virtual Machine and Windows XP mode. Check out the link below for information on that.

Buon appetit, mes amis!

Cool, thanks!
I had a CD with the Repair manual, but it won't run on my computer. It may likely be the same one I just downloaded from you (thanks again).
I have, Windows Vista (yay!) and it probably would require the virtual stuff you detail above, right? If it does, I expect it is not possible with Vista, since nothing else works quite right either.

Windows Vista is like Windows ME. A half baked, intermediate effort. It wasn't worth "upgrading" from Windows XP you are correct, a lot of stuff doesn't work well in Vista.
However, Virtual PC 2007 was built to play nice with Vista.

I've never tried it myself, but give if I were you I would definitely give it a shot.
