Best steering box fix ???
Well, the use of a welded repair has never worked.
The reason BMW used a loop mount was because the gearbox is not mounted perpendicular to the car.
When the gearbox goes full travel the mount must be able to flex or the mounting will break.
The purpose of my fix is to transfer the load to both the upper and lower side of the engine cradle from the flexible loop mount.
My fix has been done to over 2000 cars, WAG, and no repeats.
I have over 160k miles since the installation, and no further issues.
