I have a kit I can provide that allows the installation of e30 sport seats in an e24 or e28.
I recommend the e30 since the seats are mechanical and there is no wiring issues, since mechanical seats have no wiring.
Installation is a matter of using the supplied bolt, head down, to install the supplied offset.
Use the OE outboard mounts, and install the OE inboard bolts to fill old holes.
You will need to trim ? inch from outboard seatback release handle to clear the A pillar with seat full aft. It is plastic and a hacksaw works just fine.
You will need to swap the seat belt attachment from the old seat to the added e30 seat.
