looking at a 1988 (7/88) 635CSIA the door sticker says L6 it has a leather interior. Where can I check to see if it is really a L6?

The 1987 model year was the only official year for the L model. I know, the tag says L6, I found the same thing on a 1988 E24, but I was chastised for claiming it was an L6, tag or no tag.

It should have the "L6" on the right side of trunk lid.
