I think the badges look good. I'll be curious to hear a longer term report on how they are holding up, particularly the front one. What did you use to glue them to the original bases?

Thanks,

Eric

Interesting, Did you get these from a guy in the US or somewhere else?

Thanks,

Do you happen to have any pictures of the backs of the badges, before you installed them?

There was a guy making these here in the US, but his were designed to be glued to the original bases. I can't tell if the ones you got are the same and the company you got them from simply went ahead and glued everything together beforehand or if these are different. Either way, they look nice.

Thanks again,

Eric

I wanted to clear up the mis-statement above. I went back and looked at mine and they look exactly like Orval's below so there is no difference, and it's a fair guess to say they were produced by the same person. Sorry for the confusion.

Terribly nice looking car! Really!
I really do need to get myself an 'M'.

But closer in time though... Where did you get that car cover, and does it fit well?

I bought it last year at LeMans Classic. I think it is a "carcover" one. They have multiple size and I pick the one that was fitting my car.

Love the wheel arches. Tell me more. Are they the silver arches we see a lot painted to match the car?

Standard on the M635CSi cars as far as I know (most likely the M6 too).
The M88/3 was all about power, no cats. At idle the raw fuel from the exhaust will make your eyes water like an old V-8 powered muscle car's exhaust did.

Wouaw by any hazard do you know the beer?

I am indeed from Belgium, Liege is my city. (Belgium is at the north of France and west of Germany)

Last sunday was not my final run with the car. I was off yesterday and I went to a small village in Germany (Montschau, look at it in google) and in the fagnes (unique nature in Western Europe, a bit same as the Tundra in Russia)

Last weekend I have been to Spa to asist at Spa Classic race and to participate at 2 track sessions.
Nicely surprized by my M635CSI. I have easily able to follow much more recent GT.
Brake were enough for twice 4 laps and suspensions were ok too. Even the 235 all around Dunlop Sport Maxx were surprizly good.

Pictures of the partenair. Prices are too expansives (much more than a session for one pics...)
So I just took them with the bannier.

Session 1. We could follow this Ferrari for one lap due to traffic.
Image

Lotus that we overtake at the top of the Raidillon
Image

Mazda RX8 we overtake at Brussels
Image

Same Mazda RX8 and 911 who drove side by side at Les Combes. Too risky to overtake so I waited a better time. The Porsche was far to be driven hard. I know it is a GT3...
Image

Image

A 944 Turbo very fast and a Nissan 370Z that overtake me.
Image

Image

A Lotus and a Ford overtaken at the beginning of session 2
Image

Some other E24 that were driven at the sessions.

Many othersold and recent BMW at the website in bannier.

I8 and M4 cabrio were so fast.

No as it would have been most costly. I have no parts to have heating seats.
And mostly, I do not need them. I do not drive the car during winter and spring/summer/fall are warm enough.
I need more to fix my A/C for summer. But not my priority.

The car should go soon back to BMW Classic at Munich for a big work ...

What would you plan to do at BMW Classic in Munich? I didn't know they do actual work, just thought they were a parts supplier.....
