My car is done.
I'll pick it up next month.

Hah, I bet you can't wait orval2 \:D/

I think that starter is the later E34 M30B35 starter, I'm sure a search will turn up some info regarding that much smaller starter [-o<

From what I recall, it's highly recommended to go to this starter when/if replacing :-k

I believe that starter was also used in the b35 engined e24. Its suppose to make removal and installation a lot easier, being smaller. And cheaper I think

Hello,

Last Friday, I picked back my six at BMW Classic.
Return without worry. We ride between 120 and 150 km.h, fuel consumption was 10l / 100.
I must not exceed 3500 rpm for 2000 km, except for some 4000 turns allowed sporadically.

Some pictures.

Your engine how did it come up?

I just drove the car a bit around Munich and on the way back home.
I have to respect the rpm (3500 max and sometimes 4000 rpm) during 2000 kms.
We put back the original eprom on the Motronic (I had one allowing 500 rpm more).
The car does not smoke at all anymore and no more oil spot on the rear of the car. It goes smoother and I reduces my fuel consumption from 13-15l/100 to more normal 10l/100 at 120-150 km/h
The pictures I post do not give justice to the motor. In real it is much more nicer !!! So really happy

Fantastic. Yes it's hard to stay below certain rpm. I have to do the same with my 540i until I get hold of a Porsche 809 maf. But at least I can go to 6000rpm out of 7000

Soon. I have done my 2000 kms running-in.
Now I prefer first to have the oil changed and the valves work done before going at more rpm.

Hi,

Long time I did not give news. We had no more internet connection in our new house.
The car has its own garage...almost, along with my bicycles (3), the garden tools, the job tools, ... Thus a tiny space till we build our garden house.

Let's come back to the car.
Last summer someone try to stole the car and damage the body. It will be repaired next month. I will also replace some parts on the front bumper as some are disrespectful and hit your car without noticing you. It will be the second time I replace parts on my front bumper in ten years.
I will also replace the front disc brakes. They did their job, 35.000 kms of hard driving, race track (around an hour in total, not that much).

I have now a sunblade at the rear and proper third light stop installation.

As you can see, I had to dismount the rear passengers seats and no rust at all =D>

I'm going to get satellite tracking and phone app camera all into an alarm system on my 6'er. 9 years of building and huge expense, stress and costs for someone to steal it for free is simply not going to happen if I can help it.

Love the car. More than eye candy, pure porn for most of us!!! :)

Nice find

Curious where you uncovered that cool leather jacket from :-k

Think have some sunglasses for you as well, also from the 80's, I'll dig them up and snap a pic or 2 this coming weekend

Oh, and the M635 is coming along very nicely =D>

Surely ready for a Scandinavian summer \:D/
