While the car was at the paint shop we decided to see if we could straighten a dent I had in the rear bumper. We couldn't get at it very well on account of the big piece of metal welded in for Federalization. Got the grinder and chisel out and went at it. Car will be much lighter now. Was then able to remove the dent from the bumper and it looks better, not perfect.

Back from paint shop

Post by snanny »

Car came back from the paint shop and looks GREAT. Painting was on my wish list before, but got pushed to the front of the line because of the accident. Desperately need a euro front bumper.

Dash top cover

Post by snanny »

I wanted to install a dash top cover while the windshield was out. I chose the Dashtop cover and ordered online. In a few days a huge box arrived via UPS. I forgot to take pictures of the cover uninstalled but will show before and after pics.

Re: New Member 1984 euro Restoration

I have almost completed the restoration and accident repairs. Here are the before and after pics. The euro front bumper and fog lights were the last items to be completed. (thanks Tez for the euro bumper) I need to replace the hood insulation and dog bones in the rear suspension that was on my original wish list. I moved to a much cooler climate in the White Mountains of Northern AZ so I totally removed all the A/C components, A/C never worked good in this car anyway. The car gets a lot of looks, questions and $$ offers where ever it goes! Thanks for all the help I received from this site in making this happen.
