Thanks, it's the standard oem water based body paint, I'm keeping my fingers crossed it'll hold up once the engine is on temp and yes the valves were kept stock I just cleaned them and had the machine shop seat them when they were working on the head.

Got a Continental head unit (TR7412UB-OR) it's a media player without CD, runs AUX, USB and bluetooth. Lookwise it should blend in nicely with the dash.





The interior has been vacuumed and cleaned up after taking this photo, we're going to lay down all the wiring audio and test the system, also going to start taping up the whole wiring loom and tidy it up.



Spent the whole of yesterday playing hide and seek with some parts clutch fork was stored away after it got cleaned up in the engine room, the release bearing was sitting in the box of the master cylinder next to the car, the slave cylinder was in its box under a bag with pipes and parts for the oil catch can... I've already bought brand new transmission bolts nothing left now, all the new shiny parts are all together now with the engine and the gearbox so time to start... No wait the clutch fork spring is missing that was impossible to find so gave up on it and put an order on eBay UK hopefully it should get here by Sunday/Monday and hopefully all the parts stay in the same place and don't decide to sprout legs and walk off by then.

Got the spring yesterday.



Finally got the gearbox mounted to the engine.

Finally managed to get the engine in after a big struggle, slowly but surely progress is being made

Been too long since i posted on here, had some issues that needed sorting so the car got put on hold again.

After putting the engine and transmission in we ordered a new driveshaft from Turner motorsports as well as the UUC short shifter, turned out the driveshaft and shifter selector rod were both too short by 4cm. Since i don't have time to be swapping gearboxes now and find out which is the correct length I got a spacer machined for the driveshaft and had the selector rod extended, once we sort the interior, put everything back in and the car is done we'll find the correct gearbox and swap it in.

The UUC short shift kit installed it has a really good feel and and a short crisp throw.

Got the driveshaft installed, the bilstein shocks are in and swapped the brake lines to ss. There might be air in the abs unit so we'll try the brake bleeding again later once all the wiring is hooked up.

I found that when you bleed cars with ABS units you need to have the ignition key on in order to charge the unit so that bubbles don't get trapped.

Great to see the project moving towards completion.... it's sister is waiting for a quick.meet once done
