I got a speed awl from Amazon and sewed up my own. Of course, it was not as severe. I have noticed that the leather on these cars are pretty darn sturdy. I mean after 30+ years, my passenger seat leather is still pretty supple. I wish I could say the same for the driver side. One day, I'll have to do the cushion swap I've hear about.

The car is running very well these days. It's just about my daily driver this summer. New distributor, wires, plugs, vacuum lines really helped. This winter, I hope to replace my kidneys, repair and paint the front valence, and polish some dull paint on the hood and trunk. Nothing quite like a 5-speed!
