Thanks for the heads-up on the springs. It looks like these drop about 1.5 inches. (in the front at least).
I'll have to go to their website and see if I can find some specs.
Edit: I went to the ST site and they didn't seem to have any springs for 635's (US spec included) there, unless I'm missing something.

ST had more success with the sway bars so the springs were not common.
Strange how the dirt (soil) composition up there actually protects the cars from rust. The dirt stays dry and "shields" the sheet metal from moisture!! I couldn't believe it!! PITA to clean off as well.

Just one so I don't clog up your project thread with my stuff and because you asked. Found it in Kirkland, one owner ran good but needs a head gasket and a little interior love. Exterior good enough for me so I wont touch it.

Had some spare RS005 so those got mounted

Don't worry about clogging my thread. It's all good.
Nice looking car.
Did you drive it home or have it shipped?
My brother has a 533 that looks similar.
Tow Dolly by removing the half shafts. So literally "followed me home"! Great trip and had numerous people slow and wave. Most memorable was an older woman in Olympia in a 70s Porsche that slowed way down and observed it then gave a thumbs up when she finally passed me. Still tagged in WA and keeping it that way. It is so much easier than Nazifornia.

I have relatives in Kalifornia and they have educated me in the ridiculous bureaucracy and over regulation when it comes to owning an older vehicle.
I couldn't believe it when I heard a person still had to pay a yearly fee for an in-op/unused car.
Around here I can leave a car unlicensed and it doesn't cost me a cent. 5 years later I can just walk in and buy tabs and start driving. No annual inspection like some states and no emissions testing where I live, for any vehicle, new or old.
One advantage to living out in the sticks I guess.
I did some more snooping around and narrowed my oil leak down to a split oil pan gasket at the RH aft corner.
After running the engine for quite a while I haven't seen anything from the rear main seal as I originally thought.
Fingers crossed.

I found some enthusiasm yesterday and put the Rondell 58's on the car.
Amazing what a set of wheels will do to change the character of the car.
Clearance seems to be okay even lowered the way it is.

The rear sidemarker placement is great! Also the M635CSi airdam is great as well. I'm sure you will like how it looks once you get the euro fogs in place.
The wheels look good--- and you don't often see them on these cars.
Here's the Dietel Conversion car here in Denver from 2014
I do love those Rondell Alloys, excellent choice, had a set on my old M535i.

I agree with the side marker placement. I was quite pleased.
Are you saying I have an M635CSi airdam?
Digging around in the boxes I found some driving lights marked with "ZKW" in the lens (Glass) and "Made In Austria" below that.
Not sure if these are the correct ones for that airdam.
Unfortunately all of the mounting brackets are broken...

I bought these wheels in 2005 and they have been on three different E34's and now two E24's.
A little bit dinged here and there but still look good.
These are 8.5 x 17 dia. all around.
I really like the offset and lip on these.
I especially like the lower price of the 17 inch tires over the the 18 inch and up.
Quite a savings.

That does look like an M airdam, because of the parallel grooves across the lower edge. You can try and source new foglights from a US E30 M3, which are the same as used on the Euro E24's. They're wider than the fogs used on other models, but I've only seen them listed as M3 parts.

Hella lenses are available on ebay for under $100 each. The housings and brackets are NLA but I do have some spares.
Nice find. Are these the same for standard applications and 'M' types?
I'll have to dig around in my boxes and see if there are any brackets left. If not I may give you a jingle.
I haven't really looked too closely at the area behind the air dam so see how everything mounts.
The wiring is there so I guess the next step is to measure the openings in the air dam.

The Turbo car has a complete functioning set.
I am tempted to borrow them but will consider picking up your mounts in the future once I address other the mechanical issues.
New skins today. The old ones were 10 years old and I definitely got my money's worth out of them. The chords were just starting to stick out of the inboard edges on a couple.
Because this car will not be tracked and will be used as a back-up year round, I went with all season tires. It rains a lot around here so I needed an aggressive tread to handle the deeper water and light snow. (If necessary).
The old ones were 255/40-17 and I down sized to 245/40-17 for a little less width for clearance.
The 245/40-17 is also the optimum size for the 8.5 wide rim.

So I got ambitious today in correcting one of the oil leaks (and one of the messiest) by changing out the oil pressure sender on the back of the head.
I scrubbed the back of the head and bell housing thoroughly so I could see if any of the oil was coming from the rocker shaft cover on the back of the head.
The car fired right up and I ran it to full temps and didn't see any seepage at all. Hooray! Progress!
BUT!,
1) Now when I pop the throttle there is a split second delay before it revs.
I checked, cleaned and dried all connectors and it made no difference. I even dried out the throttle switch under the rubber cover on the throttle body. No change.
2) I noticed that on this car it has two header pipes and only the forward one has an O2 sensor. I noticed that it wasn't plugged in. It's been spliced and has a male spade connector on the free end but it only just reaches the firewall. I can't find any other wires within reach of this O2 wire anywhere in the engine bay. I'm not even sure if it was ever plugged in. What am I missing here?
I plan on searching the site for these problems but I am appealing to the good will of the more knowledgeable to point me in the right direction in lieu of chasing windmills.
I also wanted to add that it idles smoothly and really raps out once it gets past the stumble. It sounds great with the straight pipe but my new muffler came in so I can tone it down a little.
