Aussie 77 633CSI
Hi Guy's
In Gold Coast Australia and Picked up my first Beema project yesterday its a 1977 633CSI in Korall Red.
Few rust repairs to do, attend to slow electric windows, Sad Exhaust, Sort Alternator, Aircon and fan not working and generally just give her a bit of love.
I understand it is a Karmann built car, what's the deal with that? are they more sort after or?? have attached Karmann Plate.
Also has 16" Alpina wheels, contemplating whether to restore these or would love to get hold of some BBS RS

Welcome to the madness!!!
You've got quite a contingent of 6er owners Down Under, surely many more will chime in
Karmann built 6ers were the first off the production line, before Munich or wherever the assembly line move to, came up to speed, back in the day
So not necessarily good or bad, perhaps rare but that doesn't infer that it's more valuable either, even though these will be few and far between these days, mainly due to age
Cool find, please sort out how to load pix, as it's actually very easy

Oh,
I tried to link over from Google Drive, showed pics for me so I assumed they were working, must be a permissions thing,
Should be fixed now
GRNSHRK: Thanks for the info, I thought as much, previous owner was pretty excited about the fact it was from the Karmann Factory
griffo: Yes I was a Mopar guy, haven't got any left now but had a Red VH Charger, Orange VG E31 Pacer "Ex group N Race Car" and Dad had a few, wish I had them now

Lovely,
You'll find a 2.5 inch straight through exhaust improves performance markedly. Did on my 1977 633csi.

Re: Aussie 77 633CSI
Will be looking at doing that for sure, did you just go a mild steel system made up from an exhaust shop or?
Will want a nice note but not an annoying drone on the highway, may look at extractors too

Re: Aussie 77 633CSI
Just went for a straight galvanised steel system. I think you over capitalise if you place a twin stainless steel system. The engine can only give so much. Was $450 cash. Probably a bit more now but spending more will not improve performance.CHARGER wrote:Will be looking at doing that for sure, did you just go a mild steel system made up from an exhaust shop or?
