Re: lowered expectation
+2 on the wheel polishing setup.
And that gloss coat intake etc. will be a lot easier to clean than wrinkle paint.

i replaced a stuck thermostat that day, now my coolant temps are stable.
Today was a, why does my oil light remain on, day.
Tested switch. pass
Tested oil pressure at the switch. pass
removed cluster and tested line between. pass
Pulled out the wiring diagram.
Turns out something called an oxygen service reminder switch and light ties into the oil lights bus line, and wouldn't you know it someone had removed the service reminder bulb. Replaced and the lights on. the switch is under the car on the frame rail left of the transmission. there are two knobs with rubber boots on them. i removed the top boot, depressed the button and replaced the boot.
service light was out. Started the car up and in less than a second the oil light went out... WOOOOT!!..
already had the cluster out so...

Re: lowered expectation
Never seen anyone do that to these centers before.
I'm interested to see the result.
I think you should mirror polish the lips and paint the centers.

Re: lowered expectation
new job and a whole lot of other stuff have kept me off the interwebs 4 a bit.
without further ado here is a list of things my series1 put my wallet through..
used Ecu #4 = fixed my rough idle issue
re-manufactured maf = smoothed out my throttle tip in and idle a bit
new o2 censor = idle smoothee
cleaned and flow tested injectors = more smoothness
new fpr= im sure it did something!
my idle finally holds steadier than ever.
finally did something about the scar
