About the car what I can say is that this year will stay in garage, because I have my Opel/Vauxhall in Italy and I need to pick it up from there and sort all the thing with it so will be quite silence here.

Look forward to your updates ,your car looks very nice .
I'm not sure where you are in Scotland but being Scottish myself may I offer you some advice regarding your new garage .
Timber is great at keeping a car dry but you really need to put a damp proof plastic membrane down on the damp earth and then pour a concrete screed to seal it.Even with the garage on top it will be moist causing rust and mould . It would have been preferable to lay a foundation first as the base of the timber structure is sitting on wet earth but if you keep treating it with old oil around that area it should last a little longer .Also the water based "fencelife " material that the outside is painted in is worse than useless .Do what your neighbours have done and get some creosote and mix it with some old engine oil and cover the outside with a couple of coats . Modern creosote ( thanks EU ) is a shadow of it's former self but the engine oil goes some way to help.
Good luck
Don

I gotta ask....how the heck do you get in and out of the car with it in that shed? The doors can't open more than a foot! Even if I lost a hundred pounds I still couldn't squeeze in there.

I am living in Falkirk, I bought the garage thinking that in the next months I will buy a house with garage so I bought today a proof plastic membrane and Tuesday should arrive a bag (850KG) with 20mm Derbyshire Peakstone to put it on the ground - I are right about foundation but I will wait maybe to come the summer. And yes again you are right about "fencelife" - I already bought something better and yesterday I applied first hand. About creosote I know is better but I don't want to have problems with the council. They put that cheap "fencelife" it's only for reducing their costs with the garage, anyway at the end of this I paid 1500 pounds for a 17ftx10ft garage (what you saw in the picture).
Are you living in Scotland?

Hi,
Great looking car. A word of advise though. Your situation looks a bit like mine, i can only work on my car on my drive. My garage is only big enough to store my car over winter. last september my fuel tank started leaking at the base of the filler neck so desided to remove it. That was my mistake, Due to weather, work and family the car is still in pieces. After removing the fuel tank it gave me lots room to re-furbish the rear suspension.
The temptation was to great. When i remove the front suspension i'm going to make sure i'm done before the winter.

I was wondering the same thing about getting in and out of that garage!hornhospital wrote:I gotta ask....how the heck do you get in and out of the car with it in that shed? The doors can't open more than a foot! Even if I lost a hundred pounds I still couldn't squeeze in there.
The color is exactly like mine, but yours has better seats and steering wheel (although it's on the wrong side for me)!

I don't want to do nothing in this garage, I bought the garage only do not let the car outside in rain/snow/sun.Ronnie Wilson wrote:Hi,

Hello to everyone
Meanwhile the car was moved where I have the house, but something happened: the car is not starting anymore - will crank but nothing else.
What I should do because I'm not an expert with these kind of situations?
Many thanks
