Sharkfest in Belgium

Post by orval2 »

Hello All,

I will organize a small meeting for BMW E24.
It will be in September.

I will do it close to the german/netherlands borders and in the region of Spa-Francorchamps.

I have no yet a program but it will be one or two visits done. Browery, car museum ?

I have already 13 E24 and one E28 that should be part of.
I might open it to E30 cab.

Let me know if interrested.

I just heard from another E24 owner (1979 635CSi) that resurrected his just today after sitting three years. He might also join, but I have no confirmation yet from the other guys. It is still a long way off...
The M88/3 was all about power, no cats. At idle the raw fuel from the exhaust will make your eyes water like an old V-8 powered muscle car's exhaust did.

Hi all,

The "event" will be on the 25th September.

The actual program is :

133 kms, no definitive to be adapted :
http://maps.google.be/maps?f=d&source=s ... 647&num=10
I hope the link is still working.

Basically we should start in Herstal, a suburb of Liege.
We will go to the "plateau de Herve". It is an area with a lot of apple trees and cows. To go there we should take a small road in the wood.

The first stop will be in the Stavelot Abbaye. Where we can walk on the park and maybe visit the beer brouwery.
It migh be a bit soon to do it.

(sorry in french)
Then we will head Stavelot (to be modified as a without car day there but still the same regio)
We will go there through the "Fagnes" a special nature area unique in West Europe.

Then we will head Spa and take an uphill race road (but ot make race there)
then an other fabulous uphill : La Redoute (cycling and rally)

To finish the day, we will go via the valley to Esneux (eat a delicious ice-cream there?)

I must say, even though I'm on the other side of the world, that looks like an excellent route. Image

That map looks like an awesome drive, I wish I could come along.

Well done for organising it, good luck with it and make sure you take photos for us.

Regards,
Ellis.
