Post by TrevorB »

Hi Guys,
I have just had a new throttle body arrive from the US, wrong one. Looking to sell at cost $320, other offers will be considered?
Incorrect part No. 1354171008.
Correct part No 13541273068
Cheers

Couple of bits of advice:

Please resize that picture and repost it. The version you posted is humongous.

List the part number of the throttle body you got that is wrong, so potential buyers will know what you have. It's too difficult to tell which one it is from the picture.

And if you know the correct part number for the throttle body you need, post it. Someone may have it and need the one you have, facilitating a swap.

Hi Addam,
Looking on RealOEM, I am guessing 9/80 onwards (when the manifold changed). Josh also recommends a RangeRover body giving a larger bore. I have an old one here but need to figure out how to convert the vacuum lines and create an idle jet (Josh???).
I have a mate down from the Gold Coast next week, how about he drops it off and you can have a play?

Hi Josh,

Got that, can you send me pics of the finished job? The manifolding is correct it is just the other bits I'm not sure about. No rush on this as the cars actually going pretty well as is.

I don't think we took pics. I'll chase up the info for you.

Hey, why not just put a big S38B38 in it and with a slight tune, get 375hp. That may even be up in Peter Simms territory.

You know there is a slight chance we have the modified throttle body lying around somewhere as the owner of the E9 CSL it went on did chop and change his set-up a lot.

Also, this year is disappearing but a Jan drive if people are around would be great. A drive that included a very long pub lunch so we can all catch up. 6'er wise it as been a slow slow year.

That's probably cheaper than building the M90B34? I might spend some money on handling this year so the engine can wait.
As for a drive late Jan I'm keen.
