Hi Guys,

Looks like a great run, unfortunately I couldn't make it due to extensive hip surgery..........
She should be recovered in time for spring.

Hi Josh,
Thought about it but rust is rust is rust. Why is your baby in Melbourne, the S88 swap?

yep. But will leave the overdrive 5 speed in on advice from a few experts noting that a 5 speed dogleg with a 370hp S38B38 in a real high reving car is pain on long highway drives.

The engine is in place now. The exhaust is going to be fun. Gearing is an individual thing. The s38b38 makes so much torque at low revs compared to m88/3 u can probably get away with tall gears.

You either go one or the other. Low or tall. If u want a highway cruiser GT type of car put tall gears in. If u want a sat night special low gears are your thing.

Getting sidetracked now. When's the text "tour".

Gertie will be right for a drive in about 3 to 4 weeks. Hopefully in 2 weeks I'll fly down and pick her up. Simply put, Matt is brilliant and economical.

Gaz, I've got the racer (although the last guy stuffed up big time and it needs a complete re-tune and the bonnet painted after he left it in the rain for 11 months) and a Renault RS265 for track days. You've seen the S38B38 I've got. She is a zero km engine that was last running 390hp with an alpha-n chip so with the work done, should be up around 360hp plus. Should be plenty of juice considering I can hang with the guys on a run now with 170hp in a tired 37 year old M30B32!

I'll call when I head down so we can catch up at Matts.

Then, I'll plan a run for the NSW guys.
