How do you know what George Michael's breath smells like?

As long as you keep coming on the drives Paul, a Saab is fine. (can you say that? Actually say 'a Saab is fine???').

I was so sick of mine that it was either sell or turn it into something special. Paul, have you thought of turning it into something fantastic?

Gary, I just need the car running at the 350hp to 370hp it runs with the stock ECU at the moment. The car needs an LSD first and the cost is already $3,700 over budget if you include the exhaust system and needing to get the bakes fixed again after that Muppet Greg Y charged me $1,200 to get them fixed and they went completely on the day I first drove it.

Once the car is running well and stopping well, I'll do a dash swap, tidy up the inside, put the M635CSi spoiler on the front I've got waiting, swap in the Alpina 3 gauge dial cluster I've got and post getting an LSD, think about trying to get that extra 30hp with a stand alone system. As Paul says, 370hp in an E12 633CSi is scary, to be fare, that's 276kw. Do I really need more? If I can honestly get 350hp plus I'd prefer to use the money on a stand alone ECU to get Matt to turn my E3 racer into a giant killer. If Matt can get 320 to 350hp out of the E3 racers engine then that's what I'll save up for.

I'm in Melbourne Sep 11 and 12. Catch up???

This should give you an idea what George Michael's breath smells like

That's disappointing Paul because if you're objective, it's been a good car for you over the years. But I do get that you've outgrown it and it doesn't meet your lifestyle choices so good luck on your search for a wagon.

Paul, did you keep her? Will she be right to meet the new Gertie with 370hp for a Nov run?

If not, I'll just need to come and pick you up and you can scare both of us silly having a drive.

Best

Gertie is close.

Engine in, exhaust a piece of art, extractors re-worked and ceramic coated, brakes done finally, needs cooling in including a larger radiator and then test drive. Still have not found an E12 based LSD sideloader. Kept 5 speed overdrive box at Matt's recommendation.

A few more weeks but tied under with work and family. Will take a think about the next drive in a few more weeks.

Josh is itching I get the car back.

Maybe you have to pick up a diff from overseas.
How retro fitable is the late model e28e24 subframe ?

Matt is looking into retro fitting the e28 rear subframe but for now, I just want to drive the car. The new engine with the 5 speed manual should be a hoot. Additionally, cannot wait to have a car with actual brakes!

Oh, and I've got to let Ellis, Ben and Paul have a drive and give me their opinion. It will probably go along the lines of something like;

Elis - The colour of your car is shit.
Ben - Your carpet smells like wet dog.
Paul - Why did I ever leave my car for this e12 chassis'd piece of shite?!

Why the hell those 3 are not hosting Top Gear Australia I have no idea!

I'll drop in on Matt shortly and get a final ETA for the car. Just need to work out how to fit a baby seat.

Gertie ETA,

To be driven back in 3 weeks from Melbourne. This will probably prevent me from hitting a drive this year. I'll look towards a late Jan early Feb 2015 solution.
