Getrag rebuilder in Oz?

Hi All,

I have a 260/6 5 speed for the conversion of my '86 6er.

it came out of a 535 of dubious history, so I think it best to have it stripped and done before it goes in (so it doesn't have to come out for a long time!).

Can anyone suggest a good shop/guy to do the rebuild?

Any idea of the parts availability?

Any idea on cost of rebuild?

Thanks very much,

Toby

I'm getting mine rebuilt next year when the motor comes out by the same guy did my diff, and expecting to pay $2.5 - $3.5k NZD if that's any help. (That's if nothing seriously wrong which i dont think is the case)

I had my 5 speed dogleg rebuilt for $750 about 4 years ago. Went into the car with an unknown condition and rattled like an old lawnmower. So straight out and rebuilt. Any good gearbox re-conditioner should be able to handle it.
