New Drive

You know that every time I say my car is ready, I end up engine out. But, September is a long way away, well at the least 8 weeks. And I have not caught up with the crew in a year or two.

So how about the all German Day in Canberra, September this year. If my 633 is still in surgery I can bring the Renault RS and show the 6'ers a car with a girls name.

Elis is down there and it's not a bad drive. We can meet near the M5 and head down. No idea if Ben and the others are still alive.

September 17, 8 weeks away.

Hi Josh

Now that I think about it I haven't been to the local German car show for around 7 years. It was getting a bit hit or miss. I'd hate for you to come all this way expecting awesome, only to find.... Canberra!

I'll tell ya what is a good day trip - the classic car museum at Gosford - that's definitely worth a visit.

Doesn't mean you can't come and visit me though!

I'd be in if you're in. Trying to get something a little closer to you as you seem to always travel the farthest. We could always hit the mountains and then that back road from Oberon to Goulburn. That was an incredible run last time. The old Taralga Road run. Would be close for Trev as well and the Sydney guys could meet on the M4. Unless Paul's battery is playing up again.

Hi Guys,

I would be interested in a drive. Would depend on date etc.

The Gosford option looks like two birds with one stone.

Cheers,

Toby

Car getting closer.

Engine now going back together. Was meant to be dyno'd and delivered to Elie (Mechanic) by end of August but may run into September.

To say I have 6'er withdrawal would be the worlds biggest understatement.

If someone is after a brilliant mechanic and you are in Sydney, let me know and I'll get Elie's details across. A service on Rosie's Mazda 3 Diesel is only $190, he looks after my Renault RS265 and my two BMW's. He drives an E46 M3 and an E34 525i and he and his son specialise on M30, M20 and S14 engines. Very good for that yearly E24 service.

I'm still hoping for Gosford late Sept.

Hello Josh
You will be an old man when this rocket finally hits the road!
I'm sure it will be worth the wait (and expense).
