Ireland Engineering

Post by arif »

Hello everyone, I have recently bought silicone hoses from Ireland Engineering. I got a confirmation email in which it stated that if you had any questions please ask us now before we ship the order.

I did, just as a precaution. I wanted confirmation that the pipes would fit a UK 635csi. I never received a response :( . I know it made more sense asking before buying but I read the description and it stated the pipes were for an e24 635csi.

Anyway I received the pipes without a reply and I tried them on the car. Only the smallest pipe matched what was on my car......no biggy I thought. I took a pic and sent it to IE to show them my problem.

I kindly asked if they were the correct pipes and if they couldn't answer I asked for a refund and instructions on how to return the items. Unfortunately I again failed to receive a reply. I tries for a third time and still no reply.

What's the deal with them? Busy? On holiday? Answers on a postcard please!

Your 89 is a b35 head and intake so the cooling hoses changed from the prior years (B34) that ended in 87. From memory, their kit is for the 87 and earleir cars.

They make their money on coilover kits sold to the drifter/stance crowd. They are somewhat local to me but I don't buy from them for that reason so I have no relationship with them. I have heard mucho negatives about their lack of attention to their customers and their part applications.

I do remember The Hose did a Rear Camber kit from them several years ago and was very happy with it.

All I want is a refund. I would just like them to reply to my email so I can send the pipes back. If anyone can get a hold of them I'd appreciate it

Hi,
yes it only took 5 phone calls for it to be sorted. I wouldn't use them again, they don't have any customer service and talk to you like you're a child.

Sounds like things have gone downhill. The group buy on rear adjusters went great. Quick response to initial inquiry, fast response when I adjusted quantity at last minute, and parts arrived quick. That's very unfortunate as they are a well known 2002 performance parts supplier.
