'Fraid you're way off target , the first four links have nothing to do with him at all. It's not an uncommon name in West Scotland .

Stick to linking the name/company and BMW and it'll take you where you want to go .

I had 7 months of constantly reminding him to post out items to me last year, I did eventually get them, he was such hard work to get what I had paid for out of him.

I know this is an old thread and I should start a new one but he has had £1100 since May from a friend of mine for a set of BBS RC090 alloys that have never arrived and I seriously doubt ever existed .I could fill a book with the list of excuses, even produced a tracking umber for ups but all that proves is he booked the shipment but the wheels were never taken to the depot and ups have no record of him phoning them as he is saying they have gone missing in transit . Wondering if anyone else has been a victim on here lately .

After a deafening silence from the normally vociferous BB I hoped that he had fukced off the BMW scene and went on to plunder another marque but a couple of ad's that caught my eye recently suggested otherwise.
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C360530
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C483112
Notice the dates that these ad's were placed ,July and August this year , yet they are at least three years old word for word inc. photo.
I notice the FB site has also been vacuumed clean of all the negative reviews and the web site has a new fresh, sanitized lay out.
I think it's time we at least acknowledged the elephant in the room here , if no more than to finally put a stop to this shameful convoy of disappointment and loss to members /owners who don't know of him.

Oh look what's still being advertised .......Ahh , I'm sure he has just forgotten to cancel the ad.

Yes I'm sure he forgot to cancel the ad along with forgetting to ship the imaginary wheels also, I have contacted car and classic.
Boyd reckons he is waiting for a cheque from ups for the missing wheels but I called ups and while he did actually book the wheels on July 6th 2017 he never took insurance and he hasn't called them at all. Funny that.

Thank you Baders, I took your advice and have spoken to her and they will be contacting him with a deadline for a refund or his ads will be removed, someone else also contacted her at the end of last year and she thinks this was regarding missing wheels also but due to data protection she couldn't tell me who but I see someone on another forum from Sweden was posting about wheels not turning up so it may be him, Jane asked him for more details but unfortunately he didn't reply.

I am on a mission here to try and stop this so any other help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been in contact with Jane and she has suspended the ad for the wheels that I never received and he has been told that if I don't receive a refund very soon all his trader ads will be removed ( currently 10) and he will no longer be able to advertise there. If he doesn't refund the preparation is already in place to go down the legal recovery route . Does anyone know of anywhere else he places ads? . Thanks

Yes my friend paid for the wheels but I sourced them , he has a few cars as I do too and we borrow each others but I am in charge of getting his 635csi motorsport back on the road and it has been stuck at my local specialist for quite a while due to the hold up with the wheels. Hope that makes sense. When it's back on the road hopefully you guys on here can help with some advice on other areas of the car and I will post some photos.

Hey, are you guys OK if I move this thread to the "Buyer/Seller Feedback" section :-?

Seems like a better place to continue this discussion than the "For Sale" section :-k

Lemme know, just a couple of quick key strokes \:D/

Just a quick update on this. Jane Warner at the Car and Classic website has removed all of Boyd's ads and he no longer has a trader account with them.
This was down to him not refunding £1100 for the wheels that he never supplied . Her message to me below and a link to where his ads were.

Hi Mike

Re:- Bavarian Retro Cars & Parts

I have not received a reply from Boyd Beattie within the 7 days stipulated, and I understand you have still not received a refund of the money he owes.

I have therefore written to him letting him know that for this reason his dealer facilities with us have been withdrawn.

I am sorry that you / your friend have had such a negative experience, I hoped the pressure brought to bear might get him to do the right thing.

We will of course provide the Police with all the assistance that we can.

Kind Regards,

Jane Warner

Well, that's something at least. I dare say it won't stop him popping up elsewhere. I'd love to see this followed up with legal action.

Interesting way of withdrawing an advert due to the circumstances of reported theft ....
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C916251

Text intact , address and tel. numbers still listed just a little grey strip stating that the advert is withdrawn through sale or "otherwise".
Yeah , she really came down hard on him .

Just started legal action, the law system in Scotland is different to England where I am and the online application has been completed and I will post any updates on here. Has anyone else tried taking legal action against him? I don't understand how he has got away with it for so long. I was hoping to make a personal visit as I have some work to do at a friend's company in Glasgow very near him but it has been delayed and he is 400 miles from me.

I think that's because I posted the link before the ads were removed, if you look at the bit that says "adverts live " it says 0 but it did say 10 and it just takes you back to the site if you click on that and doesn't show any of his ads. She has closed his trading account . Obviously he can advertise elsewhere but he won't use ebay due to the paypal protection. He actually put his Macau 635csi up for sale last week for £4k and it went in about 2 days, must have been rough to sell it that cheap or maybe some bailiffs are after him

Just to add...

I had the misfortune to come across this guy on Retro Rides.
Placed an order for a charger and car cover via his website, just over £100.

That was over 2 years ago, and I still have not received the goods.
I contacted the bank, etc, and they were not the most helpful people to work with...
Other emails and letters also.

I am writing it off now.

Did you contact the site and let them know to see if they can kick him off and have you any idea if he still sells items on there . I also see there is another recent google review I have pasted below.

Avoid this seller at all costs. I ordered a BMW part off him, the part arrived but was damaged. I notified the seller and I was instructed to send it back to him and I would receive a full refund. I never received a refund. I called and emailed him many times and he swore that the money had been sent. He then stopped replying to me. I have written the money off now as it's too much hassle to deal with. This is not an isolated case. He is legendary on BMW forums for not sending parts that have been paid for worldwide and has been banned on a number of BMW forums. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
