Any experience with http://bmwretro.com/

Post by md633 »

Hi all, I noticed a few parts on here I could really use for my project. Has anyone dealt with this site before? I did a scan through the forums without any results. I'm wondering if they're legitimate sellers or if anyone here has purchased from them before and wishes to share their feedback in dealing?

Thanks!

I wouldn't take a chance. No phone number or address on their site - where are they? All I can see is that the prices are in €, so presumably they're in Europe somewhere.

My mistake. Please review the entire thread to recognize this specific seller as different from Boyd Beattie.

Boyd Beattie is a cheat, thief and liar. See my posts regarding my experience within this section. Troll some of the other sites, e30's, and you'll see that this is a way of life for him, not just a solitary experience.

However, if this is not Boyd, then I mean no defamation to bmw retro. However, I do mean to defame Boyd for stealing my money.

I wish I had read these posts 6 months ago, that's how long I have been after this scumbag to return the money I sent him for some parts that he has no intention of ever sending. He has given me every excuse in the book, all obvious lies. In the future I will be in the habit of Googling anyone I have never done business with.

Searching him on the by reveals several non delivery and communication issues. There has got to be a better way than dealing with these types of vendors. I guess not using PayPal is a warning sigh.

These chaps spoil it for others. Does anyone ever charge him criminally ?

To everyone interested

Next time in similar cases, please take more than 30 seconds for this kind of extensive research and due diligence because:
- I have nothing to do with Boyd Beatie, his store in UK and all that shit around him !
- there is a valid phone number http://bmwretro.com/terms-conditions/ as well as paypal payments and my almost 24hr email replies so please cut that shit saying there is nothing
- B.Beatie vanished from FB so if any of you would spend another 5 seconds to use that FB widget on my site and compare him to this https://www.facebook.com/BMWRetro/ .... is there anything in common? Not even mentioning RHD and LHD....jesus...
- the only simmilar thing is mix of words BMW and RETRO
- after another 5 seconds you could easily check Im selling stuff on ebay for ages

http://www.ebay.com/sch/retrobimmer2/m. ... ksid=p3692

Now..apologies welcomed....

One more question, just dont want to be harsh on anyone, just being curious how for example Google search may work... could you briefly explain what kind of research or specific actions did lead you from BBeatie threads to my website? Casue obviosuly your opinion was not based on inverting Retro BMW into BMW Retro right....?

And there are more than what I have provided. Look around and your eyes will get opened.

If you are indeed different from Boyd, I do apologize for my oversight. The similarities in the names is the only criteria I had used to tie you to his business. I don't need to say anymore about his status here on BC and my intent is simply to protect unknowing members. I have edited my previous response to delete reference of you to Boyd. Again, my apologies.
