Post by Hefeweizen »

Did anyone have the relay 1364654 and replaced it with a cheaper alternative?

this one appears to be very similar, but I don't think it qualifies as 'inexpensive' per se...?

Thanks Brucey! So far the least expensive.

Mine went out on the '81 car I have and I retrofit the later E28 based relay. You just have to look at the wiring pinout and it will work just the same.

$15 or already in your parts bin if you go that route. It's a 3 prong relay and the ground wire from the old relay simply isn't used.

Thank you! I knew that someone already encountered this issue! That is a much better solution!
