Rob ( wattsmonkey ) on here has asked me a question that I am having difficulty answering .
He has a choice of three 265/6 x members for me to fit same gearbox into my series one e12 based car .
I've trawled the 'net but so far been unable to determine the correct or best one for the job .
To those that have done such a conversion on a S1 car can you give me any help ?
TIA Don.
The three amigo's \/.

Investigation continues.
The part shown is for the twin mount bobbin 265/5 box whereas the correct one for mine shows it to be for the single mount bobbin 265/6 box.
The gearbox to be fitted is a twin mount bobbin 265/6 so the x member shown above looks to be wrong but right .......
I've got wattsmonkey , aka Inspector Clouseau, on it .
TBC .

The middle one!
That's the same one I've got on the 265/5 on the 1984 project car.
Not now, Kato!

I used the middle one on my e12 M535i with dogleg box, as concluded from realoem it was the right one, but ended up having to create additional spacers for gearbox as it hung too low generating vibrations in drivetrain. The original one looked more like the left one
