Car covers. The good bad and ugly

Post by sansouci »

I've had a NOAH cover from Bav for 4 years on my E32 stored outside on Long Island. Holding up well although it does grow a bit of algae as we have heavy evening dew near the ocean. It is grey and nondescript. Fits snuggly and I use a heavy polyester rope around the hood and trunk to prevent flapping.
I"ve just ordered a Covercraft Storm cover for my E24 as some long term repairs can't be done in my too small garage. Will let you know how it fits in about 2 weeks. Pictures will follow.

Well,
The CoverKing (from autoaccessoriesgarage.com) arrived and it doesn't fit well. It's too short to cover my US bumpers and the front is at risk from being torn by the New York required front license plate.
I've sent photos to the vendor who passed them along to the manufacturer. Not sure what will happen next.
I will post photos and keep you all up to date.

I guess it would fit a Euro car without those horrible bumpers you guys got stuck with :-k

Well,
Depending on what happens with the manufactuerer and vendor, I might put it up for sale.
