very nice! did you get the Microfiche that goes with it? Does the Microfiche reader work?

The reader works but the contrast is not good enough, maybe it needs some cleaning or new lamps?! I've got plenty of microfilms but mainly for E34, E32, E31 and E28... The things I need to get working are printer and oscilloscope, I've got second one for spares, which does not read diskettes hoping that at least I can swap oscilloscope from it!

How is the Service tester restoration working out?

The microfiche reader in Sun tester works very good after cleaning and putting new bulbs! Meanwhile I've bought many E24 and technical data microfilms, mainly in german. I also scored english floppy disks for this tester but it does not want to read them didn't know why yet. I've swapped the printer but it also does not work good... I will be moving to new place next year and there I am going to start serious work on its restoration! I am working on too many devices right now as I've got also:

BMW Programmtester (I've turned it it on just few times with my 630CS)



BMW Digital Tester (my favourite, but it stopped working last month)





BMW Digital Tester 2 (also cool but more complicated than previous one)





My favourite function is setting ignition advance timing without stroboscope lamp, using diagnostic connetor and its TDC sensor

I have also started using separate micrfofilm reader at home to don't go to garage everytime i want to check something on microfilm :)



and even that's not all, so you can see that there is plenty to work with


Right now the main reason I love E24 so much is that I can use all this cool stuff with it
