I know the 635csi had its metric rims basket weave and likewise the M6 the same but how come you never see the 3 piece look with studs (from factory of course not aftermarket) ever except this M6 with them at the bmw world museum??
what are they can you buy them??? RS?

I would think you know that each tire for this wheel will cost close to $300 American dollars, so no one is in the market, except for the hard core purist!
And, to me the hard core purist isn't a full on street racer, so, to them, it's worth it to run semi-hard just once a year.
Also, I've never liked that stupid air foil on the drivers windshield wiper!
If you're going fast enough for it to kick in while raining,,it's just too fast for other reasons!

BMW recalled all the 3 piece RS007s not long after they first fitted them to the M635 due to problems with air leakage. They replaced them with the single piece wheels which were much heavier.

They do come up for sale occasionally and, co-incidentally, I have a set of 5 with excellent TRX GT tyres for sale.

BBS RS wheels are very expensive due to their rarity and demand. Many do run RS wheels as they are extremely light and have ideal sizes for the e24 platform. You don't have to run the metric size to run RS wheels.

viewtopic.php?t=20475&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30

Expensive when someone customizes a set as well

The Zinno car in my sig was running 16 inch RSs until it was rear ended.

I was wondering the same thing. They are twice that direct from the manufacturer, Coker Tire.

I can sell unused spare tire TRXs for $200 each. 30 year old tires and some people drive Ferraris on them. Go figure. I fully disclose age/condition and they sell without any issue. I even advise that the tires are only good for rolling and showing.

I love the BBS rs.
Mine are modified rs302 originally 17x8 et40 for e36 fitment.
I have now 17x9 et 27 with 15mm spacer on front and 17x10et15 with 20mm spacer on rear.

I do have the original metrics rs007 but driving on old trx tires with the dogleg box is an experiance in wheelspin.

I've saved the details somewhere on my home PC that does a full inner and outer lip kit (either 17 or 18) for about 1400usd which is pretty reasonable. I think a double stepped set if non spacered 18" rims would look orsome and if I could build them up if never lose money on them

Anyone know the specs of the original 007's with regard to offset and width.

If you have RS wheels this is the centre cap and waffle plate you need.

Thanks. Expensive little boogers and none for sale in the USA.

Pretty sure my car has a spare TRX wheel and tire. I would be happy to swap it for a 16" wheel and tire if somene wants it.
