Will These Fit my 1985 635?
https://desmoines.craigslist.org/pts/4646919329.html
These look nice, but I don't really want a lot of modifications.
Will they fit yes or no and if yes, what tire size and / or any other modifications do I need to make?
I don't want to offer if I can't use them.
Thanks---

They sure should!
Threw me off a bit when the ad mentions they were on an E90 3 series, but with an offset of ET15, that should be a slam dunk
Typical tire size for these wheels would be 235/45-17
Nice find

if they fit an E90 they should have a bunch more offset than that.... and that is how they look to be, to me... unless the centre boss is incredibly thick or something.
I'd suggest personally verifying the ET value before buying these, if you can do. ET15 would be more like an E60 5er wheel
cheers

Et15 is offset.
Our cars will run et15 front and rear. now et35, won't work!

ET is the offset.
ET15 = +15mm offset, which means the inner face of the wheel is 15mm towards the outer edge of the wheel. Higher offset wheels on E24s result in tires rubbing against the suspension, and that's no good! Here's a diagram that will help explain everything.

Ok that helps a lot. + 35 would "push" or place a majority of the rim inward toward the suspension and brake hardware. - (negative) would not be good, probably, for handling.
I sent him an email. As is typical of a CL ad, no phone number, so you never know if emails end up in spam or not?

He responded finally that he still has them but what a d*ickhead. He was not willing to let me come look at them - only if I was buying and he would not let me take one to place against my (non running is why) front hub.
OK, just say no I would rather not have you do that but yes you can come by and look at them. Instead he said "I am tired of everyone wasting my time."

They should be marked up with the correct offset on them. If he can show you a photo of the wheels with ET15 (or perhaps ES 15)marked on them then go ahead and 'waste his time' some more by buying them. But if he can't then just forget about it. There are plenty of wheels out there so there is no need to deal with an idiot in order to get some.
