Best tire setup for BBS RC 035 & 038

Post by Snizinskas »

Hello,

I just bought BBS RC 035 & 038, 8Jx17 (et 20) front and 9Jx17 (et 22) rear.

What do you think is the best choice for tires?

I'm considering 225/45/17 front and 255/40/17 rear.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

The standard is 235/45x17 and 265/40x17 but the 265's are hard to come by so 255/40's will be fine.

Yes, the 265/40 is hard to come by.

In the case of 235/45 and 255/40, is it not a problem that the front will be higher than the rear?

225/45/17 will be ok at the front but they need to be load weighted to 92 where most 225/45 are rated at 91. 255/40 will be fine for the rear.

It is by a tiny amount so it is no problem - it does not affect ABS or handling at all.
