Afternoon all, just fitted some 8x16 E38 Style 5 alloys and tyres to my (fairly) recently acquired M6.
Keeping the TRXs for shows/originality but wanted to fit something that runs cheaper (and grippier) tyres.
Picked up this set on ebay fitted with 225/50 16 Falken tyres.
I'm quite pleased with the look. What do you reckon?

Perfect .
16's are just right on the E24 and those off the E38 are the best alternative to the original 415 size .
Car looks lovely too.

+1 on Don's comment; just right.
I had these on my M535i, but had to put 205/55/16s on the front to avoid the tyre rubbing on the strut. I guess the Falkens have a slimmer sidewall.
I seem to remember they are ET23, so running pretty close with an 8" rim!

Thanks for the kind comments guys - I must admit I'm pretty pleased with the way it looks. I'd only seen these wheels on pre-Highline M6s before so wasn't 100 per cent sure they would work on the Highline.
And you're right wattsmonkey, they are very tight at the front, juts a few mm between the sidewall and the front strut... but a miss is as good as a mile right?
Cheers
