Maintaining Split Polished Rims

Post by jps635 »

Curious as to who does what when it comes to polishing the lips of split rims, in particular around the bolts, either on or off the car.

All forms of motorised polishing attachments I've tried with Autosol all burn the paint off the adjacent painted centre edges with the slightest contact. Is a real PITA and a job I hate. This time round I'm trying the poorboys sealant (if I can source) to prolong the agony.

Hand polish after every run..... that's why I don't have polished wheels.
