Question TRX to standard wheel fitment

Post by enterprizer »

Bought my 84 Euro 635 new in Fulda Germany, federalized it lived with the TRX tires but bought BMW wheels from a 5 series guy assuming they'd work. Not really, there is a wobble. Have read many posts referencing an ET number which I do not see on my wheel or looking in the wrong place. The stamping, 7Jx16H2. Clearly something is needed to stabilize this wheel to the hub. Hopefully the download pic worked

E39 5 Series wheels and hubs are 74.1 mm. The hubs on our E24s are 72.56 mm. You need hubcentric rings to center the wheels. Lots of tire sellers carry them, including Pep Boys.

By the way, welcome to the group!
