AC Schnitzer 17" - 9" and 10" wide

Post by donkii »

Hi guys,

I just randomly bought a set of AC Schnitzer Type 2 ... looks great but I had a second thought now, will they fit? Not the whole world if they don't, I just need to sell them then, but you guys that has some knowledge about these things, what tire size should I go for and I'm thinking that I'll probably need some spacers? Thanks in advance.

Front 17x9 - ET26

Nice set of wheels there. These are a custom e36 fitment which happenes to be exactly the same dimensions as my bbs rs on e24

Front
I run a 15mm spacer with a 225/45/17 tyre. Anything less u are pretty tight to the inner strut. U could run a 20mm but then u are close to the guard.

Rear.
These will bolt straight on as they are but to get the gap flush with the front again a 15mm spacer is the go. I use a 255/40/17. If u use a skinnier tyre say 245 u could use a 20mm spacer or maybe roll the guard lips.

To make the handling neutral with a staggered tyre setup u could go a stiffer rear roll bar, some more front negative camber or add some tower braces front and rear. I've done all of the above and handling balance is blissfully neutral. Without these measures handling will be biased towards understeer.
