Hey fellas,
Looking at a set of 18x9.5 wheels with a 30mm offset.
Im wondering how these would fair in the front, anyone else running 9.5 up front?
If so did you use any spacers or hub rings?

Re: 18x9.5 wheel fitment question!
On the front they will be extremely marginal.
On mine I run 17x9 et-12 and the tyre is only 5mm away from strut. This would be abasolute minimum. The 18” tall wheel will require a low profile tyre prob 35 or 40. Ride may be nasty especially if the wheels are heavy.
Doing some quick Maths to have same backspace u would need to have 18x9.5 et-6 so a 25mm spacer should get u there. Any wider than a 235 tyre will be tight and it would definetly need a guard lip fold and ideally some front -ve camber.
To balance the tears u would need to have 18x9.5 et +3 so prob a 30-35mm spacer so they look same as front. U could go as thin as 20mm spacer but the wheel to guard gap will be more.
Good luck.
Personally 9.5” on the front is 1/2” too wide.
If u run those guard extensions u may get away with it.

Re: 18x9.5 wheel fitment question!
Nice, appreciate the input.
With all that being said, ill probably lean towards an 18x8.5...
Ideally I would like to have the same width for all four corners for a uniform look with the lips, thanks again gaz.

Re: 18x9.5 wheel fitment question!
I have 8.5 x 18s up front, running 235/45s, and 9.5 x 18s on the rear, running 255/40s. If I recall the figures correctly these are E36 fitment wheels, 45 offset on both ends, with 25mm spacers to bring them to an effective offset of 20et. They are VERY close to rubbing on the front struts, and are close to the fender lips. The car hasn't moved in a long time. It's one of my projects for the winter.

Hey thanks for sharing horn,
Digging the pics, nice shark you have there. Love how deep the lips are!
As far as your suspension goes, are you running springs?
