Impressively sized as these are, aren't the tyres too narrow for the rims; they certainly look as though the rims are very exposed

True, bet its nightmare parking alongside kerbs!
Also, with that tyre width, must be about as much fun in the wet as a set of TRX's......!

Bet he gets through plenty of upper control arm bushes.....

So, has his rim/tyre sizes inspired anyone to follow??
Has his efforts altered anyones views of max tyre/rim sizes on a 6?

nice!

i'm using 17" alpinas 8,5J - front 235/45 and 10J - rear 275/35.

very good to drive. but requires a very sharp vision to drive around the road cracks ;)

DND, do your rear tyres have much clearance?

Do you have any pics of your car you can post?

Thanks,

i've just posted some pictures in a gallery thread.

what did you mean about clearance, dave? wheels doesnt match by default, so i've used a hubcentric rings to fit them properly.

I've seen the pics, very cool. What I meant was how much clearance is there between the tyre & the rear shock etc. I'm surprised a tyre that wide doesn't catch on something?!

yes, sure they're rubing against shocks. so, as i said - with a hubcentric rings (rings between the hub and the wheel itself) there's no problem at all :)

these wheels i've bought from e31.
