With all the work he's done, perhaps less of a fake, more of a fantastic replica of a VERY rare car. 8)

i dont know exactly what he have done alrady, but my opinion is that the most important thing in a car is an engine and suspension, not vin or history. a car can be 628 ci 1978 upgraded to alpina, made in a late 80s. yes, there will be no alpina sign in a car passport. but papers dont affect the maximum speed ;)

 .
whichever discussion by my rare car  .there are people to whom it likes to
strictly maintain the car of origin and to others no.yo personally I
likes to always prepare them to my taste with original pieces of other
preinns as for example alpina.in Spain is
impossible to obtain this mark and mainly to pay what this requesting
itself by one of these models in good state, because I try to always
have it but the similar thing to the original one with original pieces
by the way,I even has left but the complicated thing.the frontspoiler original.
PD:whatever of you have put rims or another thing to improve the aspect?.better change the question...whatever have the original car 100%?...nobody.
If they want I put photos more detailed

A thing that I do not like is the golden color, but it is not possible to have everything.

Jose,

Don't be

If there is a completely original six then it hasn't been loved

Each of us loves our own drive for very similar reasons - the looks and the drive;

All of us have very different cars when you look at the details;

Each of us makes that car our own, and we love it :D 8) :D :D :D

Yours looks fantastic :D

BTW, an Alpina is just a modified 6 series. Yours is a modified 6 series. There really isn't that much difference.

:D Sharkfan :D

It's a great looking car, josecoy.
I can only imagine, how much work and $$$ was spent on it, since today I put in Excel table my car expenses (only parts); after less than 1 year after I got it it's almost the same money that I paid for the car itself.
And my car is not even close looking to yours.

When I'll get charged for the CIBIEs I ordered, it will be more...

I hope my wife will never know.

BTW, when I got my car, the owner told me "it's my baby, all original here" and he was damn right, even control arms bushings were dated "1986". The original headlights rusted out, and I was lucky that there was no original tires.

Hey Jose`,
Congratulations on owning an absolutely beautiful automobile. It may be an Alpina replica but I don't think that they would put as much time and care into it as you have. All the best !!

Jose:

I like everyting about your car. It is all very nice looking. But I would recommend one change. The "B7" Alpina name is only associated with an Alpina Turbo. Your 3.5 is an injected non-turbo so I would choose the Alpina B9 3.5 nameplate, not B7 3.5. You can still get the B9 nameplate. I had an extra B9 3.5 nameplate but sold it recently. You can then save the B7 nameplate for when you add a turbo to your car.

Just my opinion. By the way, my opinion is usually in the minority.

jose:

Hmmm....I see that the B7 3.5 nameplate is everywhere on your car. Even the Alpina mfg plate! So please ignore my previous post about the Alpina B9 name as you have so many Alpina B7 names already in place. See how often I am in the wrong opinion!

jrcalvin:
You have reason.
I initially think of putting b7 turbo, but this one was not turbo and then change to b7 3.5.Already that the model without turbo calls B9,but leave it this way because already tape-worm done the interior plates done with this reference  ,And finally to say that the one who did the plate of the engine to me It put him turbo instead of 3.5 :?

Hey josecoy,

where did you get these tail lights? Are these original BMW, or original Alpina? These are the nicest tail lights I've ever seen on an E24!

The rest of the car is also very very nice
